How long do lash extensions last?
With proper application and aftercare, lash extensions typically last the full growth cycle of your natural lash — around 6–8 weeks before all extensions have shed. Most clients book refills every 2–3 weeks to keep their set looking full and fresh. The biggest factors in how long your extensions last are the quality of the adhesive used, how well your lashes were prepped before the appointment, and how you care for them at home.
Do lash extensions damage natural lashes?
When applied correctly by a trained professional, lash extensions do not damage natural lashes. Damage occurs when lashes are over-weighted (diameter or length too heavy for the natural lash), applied with poor isolation causing lashes to stick together, or removed improperly. Always choose a trained, experienced lash artist and follow proper aftercare guidelines.
How long does a lash appointment take?
A full set typically takes 90 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on the style and the artist's speed. Refills take 45–75 minutes. If your artist is rushing a full set in under an hour, that's a red flag — proper isolation and placement takes time.
What's the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lashes?
Classic lashes use one extension per natural lash for a clean, natural look. Volume uses multiple lightweight extensions fanned out per natural lash for a fuller, fluffier appearance. Hybrid is a mix of both — classic extensions for definition with volume fans for texture and fullness. Mega volume uses even larger fans for a dramatic, dense look.
Can I wear makeup with lash extensions?
Yes, with limitations. Avoid oil-based products near the eye area — oils break down lash adhesive and cause premature shedding. Use water-based or lash-safe mascara if needed, and only on the tips, never at the base. Always wash lashes daily with a lash-safe cleanser like BDBXO Lash Shampoo.

What humidity and temperature does the Retention Rich® Adhesive work best in?
The Retention Rich® Pro Ultra Hold Adhesive performs best at 45–75% relative humidity and 68–74°F (20–23°C). Use a hygrometer in your studio to monitor conditions. Shake vigorously for 30–60 seconds before each session and refresh your glue drop every 15–20 minutes for optimal performance.
What is the Super Bonder and do I need it?
The Retention Rich® Super Bonder is applied at the end of a lash set to cure the adhesive from the inside out. It locks in retention, significantly reduces fumes, and is especially important for clients with sensitive eyes. It's not mandatory — but it makes a real difference in both client comfort and how long the set lasts. We recommend it on every set.
What's the difference between the Signature Silk Volume Trays and the No Logo trays?
The Signature Silk Volume Trays (with logo) have 16 rows and are designed for professional studio use. The No Logo trays have 12 rows and are a more affordable option — popular with educators who resell under their own brand or artists who want a lower-cost backup tray. Both use the same ultra-soft silk fiber and fan with the same ease.
Which tweezer is best for beginners?
The HER Isolation Tweezer is a great starting point for isolation — its extra-long body gives you control and visibility. What's included in the BDBXO Online Lash Academy?
The Online Lash Academy includes full on-demand video tutorials covering lash technique from foundational to advanced, wispy and specialty styles, fast application methods, business building strategy, and pricing guidance. You get lifetime access to all materials and can revisit lessons anytime. Enrollment starts at $297.
Is the Online Academy good for complete beginners?
Yes. The curriculum is built to take you from zero to fully functioning lash artist. You do not need prior experience. That said, you will need to practice — no amount of watching replaces hands-on repetition. Plan to invest in a training mannequin and practice lashes alongside the course.
What does the in-person Masterclass cover?
In-person Masterclasses are hands-on training days covering correct isolation, lash mapping, fan creation, adhesive application, and full set completion. You will lash on a real model under direct instruction and feedback. Class sizes are kept small so every student gets individual attention. Do I get a certificate after completing the course or masterclass?
Yes. Both the Online Academy and in-person Masterclass come with a certificate of completion. While certification requirements for practicing lash artists vary by state (most require a cosmetology or esthetics license), having a BDBXO training certificate demonstrates your investment in proper education to clients.
Can I book a private one-on-one training?

How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days. Standard shipping transit times apply from the date of shipment. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.

What is your return policy?
Due to the professional nature of our products, all sales on lash supplies and digital products are final. Physical items may be eligible for exchange within 7 days of delivery if they arrive damaged or defective, provided they are unused and in original packaging. My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

AFTERCARE
How should I clean my lash extensions?
Clean your lash extensions daily using a lash-safe shampoo like BDBXO Lash Shampoo. Apply with a clean lash brush, work it gently into the lash line, rinse thoroughly with water, and pat dry — never rub. Dirty lashes break down adhesive faster and increase the risk of eye infections.
What should I avoid after getting lash extensions?
For the first 24–48 hours after a fresh set: avoid water, steam, heavy sweating, and touching your lashes. Long-term: avoid oil-based products near the eyes, sleeping face-down, rubbing your eyes, and picking or pulling at extensions. All of these accelerate shedding.
Can I use a lash serum with extensions?
Some lash serums are safe with extensions and some are not — it depends entirely on the formula. Avoid serums that contain oils or prostaglandins near the lash line while wearing extensions. If in doubt, ask your lash artist before using any new product around the eye area.
